ตลอดเวลาท่านยังเป็นประธานคณะอนุกรรมการรางวัล Deming Prize เป็นกรรมการก่อตั้งองค์กรศูนย์รวมด้านคุณภาพแห่งเอเชียหรือ ANQ (Asian Network Quality Award) และท่านยังได้รับรางวัล Deming Prize, Nikkei Quality Control Literature Prize, Jack Lancaster Medal จาก America Society for Quality ถือได้ว่าท่านได้สร้างผลงานด้านคุณภาพมาโดยตลอด
ปี พ.ศ. 2552 สมาคมฯ กำหนดให้มีกิจกรรมส่งเสริมและแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้ ประสบการณ์ด้าน TQM โดยจะเริ่มมอบรางวัล KANO Quality Award สำหรับองค์การที่มีผลงานดีเด่น เพื่อเป็นการสร้างรากฐานในศักยภาพเชิงแข่งขันเหนือคู่แข่งขันอย่างมั่นคง และยั่งยืนตลอดไป จึงได้เปิดรับสมัครองค์การที่มีผลงานดีเด่นด้าน TQM สมัครเข้าร่วมประกวดเพื่อรับ KANO Quality Award ด้วยรางวัล KANO Quality Award เป็นรางวัลสู่ระดับสากลและเป็นรางวัลทรงเกียรติ ที่ประชุมจึงมีมติให้แต่งตั้งคณะกรรมการกิตติมศักดิ์เพื่อเป็นเกียรติและอนุมัติรางวัล KANO Quality Award ดังนี้

The above TQC (Total Quality Control) book was published in September 1985 or 25 years ago. The book has lectured on international course organized by Technology Promotion Association (Thailand - Japan) or TPA on the topic of "TQC Management for Executive", also known as "TQM" (Total Quality Management) in the present. We are honored to have Prof.Dr.Noriaki Kano to transfer knowledge, experiences, and case studies from Japan to Thai Industry. Since then, Kano's House has been widely introduced to the Thai industry with the great meaning and easy to understand. Kano’s House has focused on "Story", linking among management principle, logical management philosophy, strategy setting, policy setting, policy deployment, daily management, and cross-functional management. The policy has been fulfilled by the strength of employees in the form of QCC activity by Dr.Deming’s principle or PDCA Cycle. The importance is that TQM Concept or TQM Language has included communication tools or practice guidelines from managing by facts, customer is the next process, PDCA application, process and result oriented, preventive problem solving , and work performance standardization. These can be considered as Professor Kano’s intellectual seeds that have been grown for Thai industry for over 20 years.
Throughout the time, Professor Kano has been the chairman of subcommittee of Deming Prize and a founder of Asian Network Quality Award (ANQ). He also received Deming Prize, Nikkei Quality Control Literature Prize, and Jack Lancaster Medal from America Society for Quality. Professor Kano has created quality work throughout the time.
Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) has promoted quality system management continuously on teams and organizations by having Thailand Quality Prize every year in March. The reason of promoting quality system every year is to promote organizations to apply quality management in their organizations by focusing human development, building a team by QCC, honoring QCC with excellent work, and sharing the Best Practice of the excellent work to the public. In 2007, TPA committee decided to extend Thailand Quality Prize by having organizations to apply TQM in their organizations. Also, TPA has transferred management practice of TQM by Professor Kano for over 20 years. Thus, the committee agreed that:
"KANO Quality Award should be established as a benchmark to evaluate organization management with TQM approach. It also raises the competitive capability of Thai industry as a whole to exchange knowledge, develop continuously and sustainably, and honor organizations that have excellent management"
Thus, the development of KANO Quality Award’s assessment criteria has occurred. We need to give thanks to Prof.Dr.Noriaki Kano with our highly appreciation for his permission to use his name. He also gave knowledge to our committees on the development of award criteria by himself and donated us of his personal fund to support and promote KANO Quality Award. Prof.Dr.Noriaki Kano is regarded as a precursor with sincerity and a good will to the Thai Industry.
In 2008, it was the first year to initiate KANO Quality Award to be given to organizations that participated in the award. Professor Kano would follow and assess organizations closely and present their works to the public. Thus, it was a new era for Thai industry in quality field to apply quality management according to Kano’s House for industry management under economic contraction and to build organization’s immune system to survive sustainably and successfully.

In 2009, Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) had activities to support and share knowledge and experiences on TQM by starting to give KANO Quality Award to organizations with the excellent work in order to build competitive capability strongly and sustainably over competitors. Thus, we invited organizations that had excellent TQM to participate in KANO Quality Award. Due to KANO Quality Award is the award leads to international level and it is a prestigious award, to honor and approve KANO Quality Award, the meeting passed a resolution to appoint honorary committees as follows:

KANO Quality Awardの背景
泰日経済技術振興協会（TPA）では、元留学生ならびに日本とのネットワークを活用し、省エネ、品質管理、設備保全など、当時まだタイでは知られていなかった技術を積極的に取り入れ普及に努めてきました。
品質管理に関しては1982年に始め、翌83年には第一回QC大会を開始。 今に至るまで30回を超える開催を重ねており、毎年多くの企業・グループの参加があります。
